Summer JazzFest

Summer JazzFest is a ten week live jazz festival presented across the East End of Long Island. The festival spans the summer season and represents one of the longest continuous runs of live jazz programming in the region.
Over the course of ten weeks Hamptons JazzFest presents a wide range of concerts and formats, from intimate listening room performances to larger scale public events. Programming takes place across multiple venues and settings, reflecting the diversity of the local cultural landscape and the many ways audiences experience live music.

The festival features world class musicians alongside emerging and mid career artists. Artists include established jazz figures with international careers as well as inspiring performers shaping the music today. Programming reflects jazz in its many forms, including straight ahead jazz, Latin jazz, Afro influenced traditions, and contemporary creative music.

Hamptons JazzFest is designed to be both accessible and ambitious. Smaller events emphasize close listening, conversation, and direct connection between artists and audiences. Larger events expand the reach of the festival, introducing live jazz to broader public spaces and new listeners.

Presented by The Jam Session Inc., Hamptons JazzFest supports working artists through paid performances while offering the community a sustained period of live jazz programming each summer. The festival has become a central part of the East End cultural calendar, bringing together artists, audiences, and venues through a shared commitment to live music.

All performances are presented live, and many are recorded for future broadcast on JazzFest Radio programming, extending the life of the festival beyond the summer season.
Hamptons JazzFest is not a single weekend or destination event. It is a long form festival experience built over ten weeks, reflecting the depth, variety, and ongoing presence of jazz in the Hamptons.
