Jazz Night at Masonic Temple

Jazz Night is an invitation to spend an evening immersed in live music in a shared space.

Presented before a live audience in the historic Masonic Temple above the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum, Jazz Night offers an intimate concert experience featuring a wide spectrum of jazz traditions. Dinner and a show.

Programming spans straight ahead jazz, Latin jazz, and global influences, reflecting the breadth of the music and the artists who continue to shape it.

Performances begin at 7:00 PM, with musicians performing in close proximity to the audience. The setting creates a focused yet relaxed environment where attentive listening and natural conversation coexist.

Created as a welcoming space for all, Jazz Night offers the community a bi weekly opportunity to experience world class live music at an accessible price point.

All performances are professionally recorded for future broadcast on the JazzFest Radio Hour on WLIW FM, extending the life of each concert beyond the room and sharing these live moments with a broader public audience.

At its core, Jazz Night brings people together across generations and backgrounds. It is an evening built around presence, connection, and live music shared in a historic setting.

Dinner
and a Show

Sharing a meal together is an essential part of the Jazz Night experience. The opportunity to sit, eat, and listen in the same room reinforces the social nature of live music and reflects the long standing tradition of breaking bread while gathering around sound and conversation.

Dinner and a show is not an add on but an integrated part of the evening, supporting connection, presence, and a relaxed pace before the performance begins.

Dinner service starts at 6:30 PM while supplies last and is intentionally affordable, making it possible for audiences to enjoy a complete evening without formality or excess. Meals are provided by local, reputable caterers, with offerings designed to be satisfying, balanced, and complementary to the concert experience.

Food service alternates between Tapovana Lunch Box, offering soulful Indian cuisine rooted in plant forward and thoughtfully prepared dishes, and Party Perfectionists, presenting an eclectic rotating selection of dinner options.

By taking turns throughout the season, each caterer brings variety while maintaining consistency in quality and care.

Eating together before the music begins creates a shared starting point for the evening. It encourages conversation across tables, welcomes newcomers, and sets a communal tone that carries into the performance.

The meal complements the music not by competing with it, but by grounding the experience in something familiar, human, and collective.
