The Alex Sipiagin Quartet brings together four of today’s most accomplished jazz musicians for an electrifying exploration of modern jazz. Trumpeter Alex Sipiagin, known for his powerful tone and intricate compositions, has been a standout voice in the international jazz scene, performing with the Mingus Big Band, Dave Holland, and Michael Brecker. He’s joined by bassist Boris Kozlov, a Grammy-winning bandleader and longtime musical director of the Mingus Big Band, whose deep groove and harmonic insight ground the group. Pianist Misha Tsiganov adds a rich, expressive voice at the keys, blending classical influences with sharp jazz instincts. On drums, Donald Edwards brings dynamic precision and versatility, anchoring the quartet with his signature blend of swing and modern rhythm. Together, this ensemble delivers a powerful, cohesive sound rooted in tradition but propelled by innovation.
